Triple Arts Agency
What does Triple Arts Agency provide?

Sigrid founded Triple Arts Agency to guide young, starting, musical theatre artists in their professional careers on a business level. She wants to help them to take control and become self-employed performers who are on top of their own business
Starting her stage career as a musical performer Sigrid had to learn how to be a business woman at the same time. Being a business woman or man doesn’t always come naturally, especially not when you’re an artist! Sigrid learned it the hard way because she wasn’t prepared for this at all during her education at the Amsterdam University for Performing Arts.(AHK). So she got ‘bitten’ once or twice while working. She has been underpaid or not paid at all…didn’t know what salary was appropriate to ask for the job and so on.
When Sigrid became a (dance) teacher at Lucia Marthas Institute for Performing Arts she developed a special course (work field orientation) to prevent that this would happen to her students as well. Prevention is better than cure. So this course is developed to show young people what is out there and how to deal with that. However while studying there are so many things that need attention and a professional career seems so far away still. So despite these classes Sigrid notices a lot of former students keep coming back not only with questions and advice but also because all this ‘business stuff’ can be quite overwhelming. A lot of important information doesn’t stick around long enough to be of any help when needed the most.

That leaves a lot of starters in the musical theatre businnes with a lot of questions and work related stress. Because talking about a job interview or a contract negotiation in class is one thing but having one is something else! Suddenly a job interview or a contract negotiation seems to be major hurdle on your way to your first job. How do you ‘sell’ yourself’? What salary is appropriate for the job? How do you make sure that you will get paid the salary you aimed for? Will you work as an entrepreneur or as an employee? What is preferable for that particular job? What’s the difference anyway? Is the offered contract legally acceptable and legitimate? What are your rights and obligations regarding this contract? How do you register a company?

All very legitimate questions that need to be answered in order to be successful as an artist. You want to be well prepared before a contract negotiation or even maybe rather have somebody else, with more expertise, do it for you. That way you won’t have to worry about it and you can focus on the more interesting part of the job: being creative on and/or off stage.

Most agencies focus on mature artists who have already proven themselves either on or off stage. They offer services that the younger artists will have no need of yet but they do come with a certain price. Often a monthly percentage of their income which is a lot if you are just a starter with an accompanying salary.

How does Triple Arts Agency work?

If you need assistance on one of these topics just send me an email, leave your number and/or email address and post your question. I’ll be in contact with you as soon as possible to get a clear picture of your needs which makes it possible for me to calculate how much time it will take up to assist you. Then we discuss a price first so you will know exactly how much you will pay beforehand. In any case, the costs should be within sensible and comprehensible limits. This prevents you from paying for services you don’t need after all but are included at most bigger agencies. So with Triple Arts Agency you get what you pay for, nothing more nothing less. No strings attached. Below you’ll find an indication of the costs for certain services but everything is negotiable within certain limits.
